“Be true to your work, your word, and your friend”
— Henry David Thoreau

Henry David Thoreau provided sound advice. The call is to the individual. But, what call does an individual give to a company? Could it be: “Be true to your service, your word, your employees, shareholders, customers, and the communities in which you work?” Perhaps it would be best to also add: “Be true to your communications”? How are a company’s messages being assessed by candidates for employment? Should their assessment be of value? What can be done with the assessment? This article incorporates answers to these questions with the opinions and experiences of individuals in business operations, marketing, and communications.
